I’ve seen a duck smile. When Sadie finds a fat tasty slug she smiles with her whole body, especially with her tail feathers! She stretches her neck out and gives a whole body wiggle that starts from her shoulders and ends at her tail, then she stabs the slug with her bill and gobbles it up. Nothing except water delights a duck more than a juicy slug.
